Middle of Nowhere

As they did for most girls growing up in the late '90s/early 2000s, Hanson had a huge influence on my life. They were the first band that I was obsessed with. I had Hanson T-shirts, notebooks, posters and the VHS tape of their tour documentary, Tulsa, Tokyo and the Middle of Nowhere. The booklet from my CD was smeared and creased due to my obsessive poring over the lyrics (even worse was my friend's poster of the trio: Zac's face was almost unrecognisable because she made out with it every night). Yet I never had the chance to see them play live. UNTIL NOW. Hanson's Sydney concert on Friday night was a damn delight, if only (pun intended) because it meant spending a few hours in the presence of a few hundred people who also knew all of the words to 'Weird'.
